Abstract
All most all ayurvedic classics discuss basic anatomical and physiological aspects of the skin and skin diseases i.e, in which layer which disease occurs, etc. Generally, most of the skin diseases are described under the heading kustha, which is urther divided into two, mahakustha amd kshudrakustha. This paper discusses dermatitis in ayurveda with special reference to psoriasis (kitibha), a subtype pf kshudrakustha. Its classification, management, etc. are also dealt with.
